Next Month's Title Game to be Shown Nationally on April 27

The 1999 National Lacrosse League Championship Game, to be played the weekend of Friday, April 23, will be shown on ESPN2, it was announced today.

The broadcast will be tape-delayed nationally on the sports network on Tuesday afternoon, April 27 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time.

Following the final weekend of play in the regular season (April 10), the first place team will host the fourth place finisher on the weekend of Friday, April 16 while the second place team hosts the third place finisher. The winners of those two games will advance to the title game the next weekend in the city of the team with the better regular season record to battle for the NLL Champion’s Cup.

In the league’s first season, the Philadelphia Wings won the trophy by defeating the Baltimore Thunder last April.
