CHRIS SANDERSON JOINS WINGS COACHING STAFF
FORMER PHILADELPHIA GOALTENDER NAMED ASSISTANT TO THE HEAD COACH

Chris Sanderson has been named as Assistant to the Head Coach of the Philadelphia Wings indoor lacrosse team, it was announced today by Wings President Russ Cline.  Sanderson, a former Wings goaltender, will assist General Manager and Head Coach Lindsay Sanderson in coaching the offense as well as some of his duties as GM. 

"Chris is a very bright and experienced lacrosse player, coach, and administrator and has a good history with the Wings," said Cline.  "Having played under Lindsay in Canada, he has a great understanding of his system and will contribute immensely to the success of this team."

Sanderson is currently an Assistant Coach for the Pennington School in Pennington, NJ and the Director and Head Coach of the True North Lacrosse Club, a summer lacrosse program in southwest New Jersey.  His coaching resume also includes a stint as an Assistant Coach for Canada's Under 19 National Team in 1998 and 1999.  In addition to coaching, Sanderson is a teacher at the Pennington School and serves as President of True North Lacrosse Inc., a lacrosse marketing company.

During his five-year playing career in the National Lacrosse League, Sanderson was a member of the Baltimore Thunder, the New Jersey Storm, and the Wings.  During his two seasons with the Wings, he played in twelve games, and was a member of the 2001 NLL Championship team.  He was also a member of the University of Virginia's 1997 NCAA Championship squad and played in the NCAA tournament in each of his four collegiate seasons.
