Default Roughnecks 2011

Will the roster stay the same? Hopefully yes. Will they get a real coach? Hopefully Brad will get rid of Pym and get someone who knows how to coach at the professional level.

I think Pym needs another year to prove himself. You can't judge him on one year.
As for the roster, I don't see many changes. This current team has some talent and will definitely contend.

One more year to prove he is not qualified? He has never been successful at any level. It will be interesting to see if all the guys come back or try to go somewhere else.

Calgary was 2nd in the West, third overall. There was 1, perhaps 2 games that should have gone Calgary's way besides running into great goaltending. If they had won both those games Calgary is #1 overall again.

Pym was a pretty good assistant from what I saw during 2009 camp and I saw no problems watching him in 2010 camp. Aside from the fact that he got a little too vocal for my tastes sometimes. How can you say that Pym needs to go? Where is the evidence?

It is always easy to say the coach is doing his job when the team wins. The evidence is in the fact that when the players needed a coach to make a difference Pym could do nothing. Are you suggesting that the team was not out-coached when it really mattered? In most games the team won in spite of Pym's inadequacies.

But what are his inadequacies?

I am suggesting that I can't remember any significant point in the season where Pym was outcoached.

I don't think he ever played at a high level. In this sport (unlike hockey), you NEED to have in-game playing experience to be successful as a coach. There are X's and O's in lax, but it's far more free flowing than ANY of the OTHER SPORTS.

Pym will not succeed because the players do not respect him

A highly intelligent, well-thought out first post.

Because only BigLog came up with an argument that I understood. Not a blind sided attack on the guy.

Default explanation

the first post is merely a logical consequence of what biglog had posted just before. No need to repeat what was already said.
