Dallas Eliuk, if he really is retired. And why is Gary Gait there? He's not retired!

NLL should make players wait at least a few years before coming back.
But given the rules I would put up Paul Ravery ref Jim Veltman player I would also think someone like RA should get Media Recognition for the many years when the MILL/NLL could care less about the web. He was a pioneer in keeping fans informed by use of the internet and still to this day RA's web site is the only way to find out that Brad Kotz was a 1st team All Pro in 1990 or that Bud Beardmore was the 1st coach of the Washington Wave in 1987. How keeping basic history like this is lost on the NLL is beyond me but I think an archive like the Outsiders guide needs to be honored. Who this site even be here if not for him?

I wonder what would happen if a person was nominated at two different levels..... say as a player then later as a coach..... in the article it says nothing about that. And with he small community that the NLL is......I could totally see it happening frequently.

If being retired is a requirement, does that mean GG name will need to be removed & re-added at a later time?
If not and temp retirements are acceptable, I would say Dallas taking a year off this season would qualify. |

Maybe the NLL should have a period of time after retirement that would have to pass before they become eligible to be voted into the hall of fame and that would solve the problem of players being put in and then coming back to play.
That being said my vote would be for Jimmy V for the player category. |

The Canadian Lax HOF requires that a player be retired for 5 years.

I doubt it. Mario Lemieux remained in the Hockey Hall of Fame after he un-retired.

Before I start, let's clarify things-when was the FIRST year of the "official" NLL?

1998, but why would that matter? The NLL still officially recognizes the Eagle Pro and MILL seasons as part of the same league.
