Like many others, I was hoping Tom would recover from his fall. Terrible news and a tragic way to lose a wonderful person. My condolences go to Tom's family and friends.

Wow, this is terrible. It's an epic loss for the Bandits, the Buffalo news, the sport of lacrosse, and most importantly, Tom's family.

R.I.P. Tom.

RIP Tom. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. Bandits lacrosse just won't be the same without having a great article in the paper the next day from Tom.

Unhappy

I first heard of Tom when I started going to Bandits games in 2001. After seeing a game on the field either good or bad, you could always count on an article from Tom in the paper to talk about what happened in the game. Reading his articles in the paper would be your one good chance to read anything in the news about the Bandits because of his love for both the team and the sport. I have always written the local news stations telling them that they need to cover the Buffalo Bandits alot better than they end up doing each week. I tell them to take Toms lead and at least give us two minutes instead of 10 seconds.

Reading Tom's articles always put a smile on my face because it was great to see that someone in the media knew what the city had with its pro lacrosse team. A team that is always competative that doersn't get the respect it deserves.

When I heard of Tom being inducted into the NLL hall of fame, I was excited. A local newspaper writer being put into the hall of fame for covering the sport that he loves, and does such a great job doing it. It was well deserved and a big thumbs up goes to the league for recognising him.

After hearing about his accident, I was devastated. I thought alot about him in hoping that he were to get better and that he and his family would overcome this. TO hear of this final outcome, is a huge loss to not only the Buffalo Bandits and the Western New York sports scene... but to the National Lacrosse League as a whole. He put his heart into this sport.

I'm hoping to see that the Buffalo Bandits do something to honor his legacy. I could think of a few things such as a banner with his name, or something. I would think that at the least every opening game this year is dedicated to him.

I know that I will now be looking into Tom's past so I can learn more about the man that Bandits fans have grown to love.

I hearby am dedicating my 2009 Buffalo Bandits experience to Tom. I will be thinking of him at every game from now on.

Rest In Peace Tom... we will be thinking about you...

I am at a loss for words. Tom was one of the nicest men I ever met. He cared about the sport of lacrosse passionately. He remembered things about you as a person and would ask how things were. He would ask me how coaching at Tonawanda was going or how my daughter was doing in school. Before games and practices there he was a pen in hand and a smile on his face. I will miss his presence before games. As I sit here and write this I am so filled with sadness. I considered Tom a freind. I will miss our conversations. I know when Tom is up there shooting the breeze with the "Big Guy" he will put in a good word for the Bandits. As he always did!!

Prayers go out to his family. All of us has lost a GREAT man!

RIP Tom. This news is sadenning. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, family and the entire staff at the Buffalo News. The lacrosse world has lost a great friend, one who will certainly be missed. He has become such a key to the Bandits with his coverage in the News. If ever NLL team had someone to cover the games like he did the league would be much better.
