Lest you all think we've been doing nothing, preparations are underway for Fann Cup '09. This year we're going to have an added bonus:

the Renegades.

We, the host committee, are undertaking something that's been talked about before: a team vagabond entry for players from other centers who don't have a team to play for. This means if anyone is reading from Portland, San Jose, Colorado, Vancouver, or anywhere else who doesn't have a team to play for but still wants to participate, we'll find you a place to play. So far we have interest from Colorado and Nova Scotia, so it's wide open.

We're not doing this as a safety valve for people who don't like their current teams, but having said that, it will be open to everyone. We're trying to keep it separate from the Spirit team, which is made up of people from Buffalo, Rochester and Ontario. Our goal is to give everyone who wants to play a chance to play.

We will need to get this team assembled by the middle of may so we can decide on fees, jerseys, etc. So if there's anyone here who's interested, please email us at fanncup09@hotmail.com and let us know your age, where you're from, etc.

Definitely interested and will send along an email today. Haven't been able to catch up with any of the Philly clubs but I played in college and always wanted to play in the Fann Cup.

If you want to play in Philly let Ozzy or Fishhead know at a Wings game, or PM one of them on here.

Tried sending an e-mail but it was rejected. How do I contact people about the internet team since I am in NYC and we don't have a team.
